Huge thank you to Gary, Ben and the whole OCR team for setting my group 2 Escort circuit race car up at such short notice. It has been a pleasure to have been associated with OCR since their conception, they’ve always been at the end of the phone with advice and encouragement. Knowing Gary for many years as a personal friend and his passion for motorsport is been second to none, which reflects in the quality of OCR’s attention to detail in itself, providing reliability and customer satisfaction! This weekend was the Cotswold Historic through the fabulous Oxfordshire countryside, organised by the Tavern Motor Club. Alongside six regularity sections covering over 90 miles, we tackled eight fast tests, mainly on concrete airfields – not exactly ideal for an Amazon and much better suited to Minis and MGBs!

However, Bluey behaved brilliantly. We took on plenty of slaloms without knocking a single cone, and once again Bluey didn't miss a beat. We finished the rally without any issues and are now looking forward to our next event in Wales, where there'll be plenty of gravel surfaces!

Simon and I came away from the Clubmans Event with the Best Beginners Trophy and an incredible 6th Overall finish.

The car was absolutely faultless and drove like a dream through all the off-road stages — it honestly felt like it was built for this kind of terrain.

A massive thank you to you and the entire team at OCRR for the outstanding preparation over the past few months. You made our first event in Bluey truly unforgettable!

"Last autumn, encouraged by my wife and a few persuasive friends, I finally took the plunge and bought my first vintage car. The plan is to enter the 2026 Vintage Shamrock with Rally the Globe—and, if all goes well, their longer rally in northern Spain later in the year.

Having had my 1960 MGA prepared by OCR in 2024, I asked the OCR Team to inspect a beautiful 1948 MG TC I’d found locally. After a thorough look over—and a test drive with me in the passenger seat—they gave it the thumbs up, and I went ahead with the purchase. The car was then transported back to OCR in Witney to be rally-prepared over the winter.

Earlier this week I collected it. As I’d never driven a vintage car before, the OCR Team and they kindly walked me through everything I needed to know. They even put together a detailed guide and spent over an hour explaining it all, before joining me for a first drive around Witney. By the end of it, I felt far more confident behind the wheel.

I then enjoyed a completely trouble-free 130-mile drive home to East Devon—an absolute pleasure from start to finish.

Huge thanks to everyone at OCR, especially for their patience and support. I was a little apprehensive about my first vintage rally, but now I can’t wait to head to Fishguard and take the ferry to Donegal next month."
