Aston Martin DB5

Aston Martin DB5

We are truly appreciative of this opportunity to restore this magnificent car.

When the Aston Martin DB5 first debuted in 1963, it instantly became one of the most coveted and admired grand tourers ever produced. Autocar described it as “a car that defies definition,” highlighting its versatility and performance. The DB5 excelled at both high-speed cruising on the newly opened M1 motorway and leisurely drives through quiet London streets, appealing to passers-by.

Even before its cinematic fame, the DB5 was a prized possession among affluent car enthusiasts. However, its status soared after it featured prominently alongside Sean Connery in the 1965 James Bond film Goldfinger. The Silver Birch DB5 not only became an overnight icon but also transformed the public's perception of the model and Aston Martin as a whole. Its on-screen presence cemented its legacy, making it synonymous with sophistication, luxury, and cutting-edge technology.

We estimate that this will be an 18 month project, restoring and bringing this magnificent car back to life. This is a huge step up for OCR, and we can’t wait to share with you the end result. Watch this space!
